Good bye Siem Reap (for now)

We looked at our calendars and realised that we still needed to do a few things in Cambodia before our visas demand that we leave for a bit, so we left Siem Reap to go see Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville before we leave the country. We will be back in August. CDO decided to give us a good bye party. We had chicken, vegetables and some fruit that Stan and Nicole had brought along for the occasion.

After the meal we got a "thank you" certificate, which really wasn't necessary given that we will be back there again in a few weeks.

After the meal, we had a few opportunities to take some last photos.

Before we left, it rained for a few minutes, just long enough to turn the piles of sand for the new bathroom into huge piles of mud. This made an ideal "mud-soccer" field and the kids proceeded to make a big mess of themselves.

They got dirtier and dirtier.

Eventually one boy stepped on a nail and it went about one inch into his foot. Nicole ended up playing the nurse again. She cleaned it and covered it, and while we were debating whether to take him to get a tetinus shot, he took off and joined the mud games again and wouldn't come back to talk to us again. It was getting late, but we left some instruction with CDO about looking after the foot.
